Diablo IV released three years ago at this point, but Nintendo gamers have still been waiting to get in on the action. The title is already available on PC and in the PlayStation and Xbox ecosystems, but some new leaks and rumors suggest that it will finally be arriving on a Nintendo device as well in just a month.

The new information comes from DealLabs, who are claim to have information to confirm that the Age of Hatred Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and will include the base game as well as the major expansions Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.

According to the intel from DealLabs:

“As promised, we’re back with new details on the release of Diablo IV on Switch 2. It will indeed be the Age of Hatred Collection , available in both physical and digital editions for €69.99 / $69.99 / £62.99. As a reminder, this collection includes the base game as well as the major expansions Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.”

The leak went on to dive into details surrounding the release date, as well:

As for the release date, it’s finally set for September 15, 2026. The official announcement date remains unknown, but it could well coincide with the opening of pre-orders , scheduled for September 12, 2026, according to our latest information. This date is significant, as it corresponds to the opening of BlizzCon 2026, which will be held from September 12 to 13, 2026.”

Readers should keep in mind that this information is still unofficial and Blizzard and Nintendo have not actually confirmed any details about this release at this point. If the leak does end up being accurate, it does seem likely that the new version of the game would be announced at next month’s BlizzCon event and released very shortly afterwards.

With BlizzCon just around the corner, it will be very exciting to see what else Blizzard has been working on behind closed doors. World of Warcraft Classic fans are still hoping to learn more about the mysterious Camelot. Additionally, there’s always the hope that Blizzard might suprise fans with a brand-new game reveal, rather than just new content and expansions for its many existing live service games.

Be sure to check back soon for more and Blizzard news and updates.

Diablo IV is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles. The Nintendo Switch 22 version has not been officially announced at this point.

Dungeons and Dragons Icons Confirms Future Plans for Drizzt and More

13 August 2026 at 20:22

Dungeons and Dragons recently revealed a ton of plans for the future of the TTRPG, including a return to some of the game’s most popular locations and characters with the D&D Icons line.

D&D Icons Will Return to Greyhawk, Dragonlance, and The LEgend of Drizzt

Screenshot: Wizards of the Coast
Screenshot: Wizards of the Coast

Dungeons and Dragons certainly laid out an ambitious plan for the coming year or so for the TTRPG brand. In addition to returning to classic campaign settings and partnerships with World of Warcraft and Star Wars, the team also teased collaborations with some of the game’s most iconic creatives from over the years.

Actor and D&D enthusiast Joe Manganiello took the stage during the event to unveil D&D Icons and tease some upcoming work with D&D heavy hitters like Tracy Hickman, Luke Gygax, and R.A. Salvatore.

D&D Icons is a new initiative led by Joe Manganiello that pairs legendary creators and visionaries with the D&D team to shape the future of the game. Icons will touch everything from setting guides and adventure modules to accessories and beyond, all in close collaboration with the studio.

he first three major collaborations that will come out of the D&D Icons initiative include:

  • Dragonlance, with Tracy Hickman – Dragonlance is returning, with co-creator Tracy Hickman working with the team to give this storied setting a new, epic treatment.
  • Greyhawk, with Luke Gygax – Greyhawk is coming back as well. Luke Gygax is working from his father Gary Gygax’s previously unreleased notes to build classic Greyhawk experiences planned for 2027, seen partly through the eyes of the archmage Melf.
  • Drizzt Do’Urden, with R.A. Salvatore – No D&D Icons lineup would be complete without the creator of the game’s most enduring character—R.A. Salvatore. His Drizzt books have hit the New York Times bestseller list more than 20 times, selling over 50 million copies in a dozen languages.
  • Drizzt holds a special place in the world of D&D, and we’re excited to bring the most legendary drow the Forgotten Realms has ever seen back to the table.

No specific products were actually announced during the teaser, so it’s a little hard to know what to expect. It sounds like the end results could be anything from sourcebooks, campaign settings, new crossover novels, or other merchandise.

Hopefully as the year plays out more details will be revealed about the first real products available as part of the D&D Icons lineup.

Be sure to check back soon for lots more news and updates on Dungeons and Dragons.

1997 PlayStation Fighting Game Is Finally Coming to Modern Consoles

13 August 2026 at 19:50

Nearly 30 years after its original console launch, this PlayStation 1 era fighting game is now available to purchase on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.

Touki DenShou Angel Eyes Releases on Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 August 13

Touki Denshou Angel Eyes was originally an arcade exclusive in 1996, but a home console version soon followed in 1997 when Tecmo released a PlayStation port of the game. The home console port also added intros and endings for each character to beef up the game’s Story Mode.

The title launched in a similar time frame to Dead or Alive, which greatly overshadowed it. Unlike Dead or Alive, Touki Denshou Angel Eyes did not go on to spawn a franchise and follow up titles after its release. Despite that, it’s still an interesting piece of fighting game history for retro gaming fans to revisit.

Players can choose their fighter from the “Eight Angels” and battle their way to the top to become the ultimate “Archangel” in this retro fighting game.

“The game is fully loaded with home-console exclusives like “STORY” and “TRAINING” modes!! Experience the ultimate evolution from the arcade original—dive in and enjoy “TOUKI DENSHOU ANGEL EYES” today.” The game supports single player and local 2 player PvP fights.”

The Console Archivesd version of the game is available now in the Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 digital storefronts for $11.99. If you are unable to find the game listed in the online store, please be aware that these products may not be available in your area.

Longtime PlayStation fans may also recall a previous port of the title making its way to the Japanese PlayStation Network’s Game Archives during the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3 era back in 2008.

As always, the Console Archives edition will also come equipped with some modern conveniences and quality-of-life improvements:

  • customizable button layouts
  • rapid-fire settings
  • multiple save points

Additional options include screen layout adjustments and filters that recreate the the nostalgic atmosphere of CRT TVs, allowing players to customize the visual experience to their preference.

Touki Denshou Angel Eyes is just the latest in a long list of retro titles that Console Archives have resurrected this summer. Other recent highlights include Doraemon, TRAG, The Legend of Kage, and Master of Monsters: Disciples of Gaia.

Be sure to check back soon for the latest retro gaming news and updates.

Overwatch Season 4 New Character Details and Battle Pass Revamp

12 August 2026 at 17:19

Overwatch players can now take a new hero onto the battlefield after installing the Season 4: Heroes of Busan update.

Overwatch Adds D.Mon To The Roster

Season 4 has officially arrived and Overwatch players are now free to explore all of the updates that arrive in the Heroes of Busan content update. For many gamers, the most exciting part of this addition will be the arrival of D.Mon.

“In Season 4, the Junkers and Talon descend upon Busan, the MEKA base is called to action, and one long-awaited pilot finally steps into the roster.”

D.Mon arrives with the Season 4 launch and she brings her sword, shield, and a whole lot of MEKA muscle to the Tank roster.

Players will be able to wield her Plasma Saber to cut through close enemies, take one for your teammates with a strategically placed Power Barrier, launch yourself anywhere with Propulsors, and trade close range pressure for the reach of a Fusion Repeater to keep your opponents on the back foot. Then, when the moment is right, unleash D.Mon’s Limit Break Ultimate and help your entire team push forward.

Battle Pass Revamp Details

Additionally, this season finally delivers some long-requested updates to Battle Pass progression.

Instead of working through a fixed order, players will choose which Legendary skin they want to pursue first after completing an introductory track, so you can prioritize the things they want most.

Premium Battle Pass owners will also be able to use a Tier Hack once per Battle Pass to swap an eligible Legendary reward for another curated cosmetic from the seasonal Swap Pool.

This season’s pool launches with returning favorites spanning all Hero roles to include Raijin Ashe, Mob Boss Junker Queen, Cardboard Reinhardt, Sakura Lifeweaver, and Crustacean Wrecking Ball.

Additionally, arriving at Season 4 midcycle, Unvaulted Passes will give players a second chance to catch up on rewards from select Battle Passes past. Once players pick one up (or if you already owned the original eligible Battle Pass), it will stay permanently available, letting owners progress alongside the current season whenever it fits their schedule.

It will be very interesting to see if the combination of the new hero and the Battle Pass revamp are enough to bring some lapsed players back to the game and potentially bring some new players into the mix, as well.

Helldivers 2 Joins PlayStation Plus Library and Gets Huge Update

12 August 2026 at 16:57

PlayStation Plus Game Catalog is getting a popular new addition today with Helldivers 2 joining the subscription service just in time to drop a major content update.

Helldivers 2: Devoid of Liberty Update

It’s been more than two years since Helldivers 2 took the gaming world by storm in early 2024, but the game is still making content additions and connecting with new gamers.

The latest push to keep the Helldivers 2 community engaged and growing arrived this week when the title became available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. This is a major addition to the subscription service and is likely going to bring in a lot of new players who haven’t checked out the game yet.

In addition to joining the PlayStation Plus game library, Helldivers 2 also released the Devoid of Liberty content update, which includes a ton of new action for players to dive into.

  • Journey to the Void – Getting into the Void presents a unique challenge. High Command has ordered reconnaissance missions to gather as much intel as possible in order to give us an advantage.
  • Complete new missions – You will be given new objectives to conquer–destroy Illuminate spires and gateways, complete data reconnaissance, and infiltrate Illuminate structures with your team. New secondary objectives will also become available, from eradicating Void mutations to extracting materials for research, as well as the opportunity to open a secondary extraction zone on the map to potentially evacuate your squad faster.
  • Exterminate new threats – As you fight your way toward the Void, you’ll encounter new, hideously mutated organisms. We have received intelligence reports that indicate these metamorphosed creatures are emerging from the heart of the Void–they are ghoulish diversions wrought into existence by the Illuminate scourge to threaten our freedom.
    • The Wretch
    • The Crusher
  • Dive with more impact – You may now gain all 300 ranks of security access and privileges, as well as new rank titles. We have commissioned SEAF platoons to aid in completing operations. They’ll arrive on dropships to fight alongside you and your squad, offering medical support via stims, but also give a boost to your morale when you salute, shake hands, and–of course–hug them.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can download the game now to jump into the action. They’ll also be able to join in as the community takes on the latest epic collective challenge. Players will be working together to eliminate 500 million enemies by August 18 to unlock four Helldiver PlayStation avatars.

Xbox Teases Elder Scrolls VI Subtitle Reveal

12 August 2026 at 14:50

Xbox boss Asha Sharma shares her thoughts after watching a live playthrough of The Elder Scrolls VI and she also teases the game’s mysterious subtitle.

The Elder Scrolls VI: ******** Live Gameplay Reaction From Asha Sharma

The Elder Scrolls VI was first announced all the way back in 2018 and Bethesda has been quietly working on the long-awaited sequel for close to a decade at this point. Although the studio wants to get the project just right, there is definitely new pressure from the larger vision and strategy at Xbox and Asha Sharma’s push to release games in major tentpole franchises more frequently.

Bethesda currently holds the keys to some of the most popular franchises under the larger Xbox umbrella, so there is a lot of attention on the studio after the latest Xbox reset. Xbox is definitely banking on The Elder Scrolls VI being a major hit and Asha Sharma is already starting to hype the project up and make sure gamers don’t forget about it.

Just yesterday, Asha Sharma took to social media to confirm that she had just watched a live playthrough of the project and she took the opportunity to compliment its scale, grandeur, and story.

“Live playthrough of The Elder Scrolls VI: ******** this morning. The scale and grandeur are incredible. The story is even greater.”

In addition to the compliments about the game itself, Sharma also provided the first major clue about the project’s subtitle. Her post included an eight character placeholder for the game’s subtitle.

In response to Sharma’s post, Bethesda replied and also referred to the game with an eight character placeholder, as well:

“It was great being able to show you ********. Thank you for the kind words and a wonderful visit.”

Fans who are desperate for some new information about the project are taking that response as confirmation that the subtitle will be eight characters long. There are a handful of popular theories floating around online, including Redguard, Highrock, and Dominion. That said, those guesses are just speculation based on existing lore and it’s always possible that Bethesda will surprise the community with something totally unexpected for the subtitle.

For now, fans are going to have to continue to wait until the game gets a more significant reveal. Be sure to check back soon for lots more news and updates on The Elder Scrolls VI and everything else in the works at Bethesda.

The Elder Scrolls VI does not have a confirmed release window at this time.

IMDB Listing May Have Just Revealed Insomniac’s Next Superhero Game

11 August 2026 at 20:30

Although Insomniac Games is currently focused on launch Marvel’s Wolverine this year, a new listing has popped up online that may offer a hint about what else the studio has in production.

IMDB Listing for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Goes Live

Marvel’s Wolverine launches on September 15 and will deliver the next Insomniac Games single-player narrative focused superhero title. The game is poised to be Sony’s biggest title this fall and, if it’s up to the quality of Insomniac’s Spider-Man titles, then it could be a major game of the year contender when December arrives.

Once Marvel’s Wolverine has shipped, it’s a bit of a mystery what Insomniac Games will be working on next. Previous leaks had suggested that the team might be returning to the world of Marvel’s Spider-Man for another spin-off title or standalone project, similar to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but a new IMDB listing is pointing in another direction.

The new IMDB listing for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 was spotted by SpiderManCD on X/Twitter (and reported via Insider Gaming). The listing doesn’t include many details, but it does list out the following credits:

  • Directors: Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith
  • Peter Parker (Voice): Yuri Lowenthal

No additional cast members or producers are listed. At this point, it’s very unclear if this is new information or just a listing that has pulled the directors and lead voice from the previous installments in the franchise.

Insomniac Games has not officially announced Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 or responded to questions about the IMDB posting. Fans should definitely take this rumor with a grain of salt. An IMDB listing is far from official confirmation and the project shouldn’t be considered actually in production until Insomniac or Sony break the news.

If it does turn out that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is the next superhero game coming from Insomniac Games, that will disprove some earlier theories that a Venom standalone title was going to follow up the conclusion of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s story.

There have also been some rumors that, depending on the success of Marvel’s Wolverine, Insomniac might expand further into the mutant universe with an X-Men game. At this point in time, none of those rumors have been confirmed though.

Be sure to check back soon for lots more news and updates on the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise and everything else in the works at Insomniac Games.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 has not been confirmed at this time. Marvel’s Wolverine launches on September 15, 2026 exclusively for the PS5.

Magic: The Gathering Bans Powerful Marvel Super Heroes Card

11 August 2026 at 19:26

Just a little over one month after the Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes set released, Magic’s Play Design Team is officially banning and restricting one of its most powerful cards from two tournament formats.

The Fantasticar Is Banned and Restricted

Magic: The Gathering’s Marvel Super Heroes set arrived in early June and quickly became another major hit for Wizards of the Coast. The Universes Beyond IP crossover brought plenty of Marvel fans to the Magic: The Gathering scene and helped expand the popularity of the decades old collectible card game.

Now that the Marvel Super Heroes cards have been around long enough for a new metagame to shake out and for some major tournaments to take place, it has become clear that one card has become too dominant in the Legacy and Vintage formats. To help solve the metagame issue, Magic is updating the Banned list to remove the Fantasticar from Legacy play and to restrict it from Vintage play.

Here is the fully update banned list, as of August 11, 2026:

Standard
Badgermole Cub is banned.
Stormchaser’s Talent is banned.
Gran-Gran is banned.

Pioneer
No changes

Modern
No changes

Legacy
The Fantasticar is banned.

Vintage
The Fantasticar is restricted.

Pauper
No changes

Alchemy
No changes

Historic
No changes

Timeless
No changes

Brawl

Competitive Brawl
No changes

For those who aren’t familiar with the decks that have been using The Fantasticar, they essentially take advantage of fast mana cards and the multiple 0-mana spells available in the Vintage and Legacy formats to very quickly generate four 4/4 colorless Constructs in one turn.

The combo is a lot of fun for players who can pull it off, but it has become so dominate that it is ruining a bit of the competitive spirit of Legacy and Vintage tournaments at the moment. Hopefully these updates in the Banned list will help rebalance things and shake up the metagame.

Updates to the Banned list are not uncommon for Magic: The Gathering, so it isn’t too surprising to see the team responding so quickly to adjust the rules in response to the popularity of The Fanatasticar strategy.

Be sure to check back in the near future for more news and updates on Magic: The Gathering.

Magic: The Gathering is available now at local game shops and digitally through Magic Arena.

Atlus Producer Sparks Hope For Persona 1 and 2 Remakes

11 August 2026 at 19:07

With Persona 6 currently in the works, some fans are wondering which other original Persona titles could receive the full remake treatment sometime in the near future now that Persona 3 Reload has paved the way.

‘I think we have to do it’

Persona 4 Revival Demo Leaks Online With 26 Minutes of Gameplay

Persona 3 Reload released in 2024 and proved that there is definitely a huge demand for reimagined versions of the earlier installments in the JRPG franchise. Persona 3 Reload was a critical and commercial success and helped introduce plenty of additional gamers to the franchise.

The next major project in the works at Atlus is Persona 6, but lots of fans are also wondering if full remakes for the original Persona or its sequel could also be in the works. Although Atlus is not ready to confirm either of those projects, new quotes from P-Studio producer Kazuhisa Wada do suggest that they haven’t been ruled out.

Wada was asked about Revelations: Persona and Persona 2: Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment remakes in a recent interview with GamerBraves and he responded by saying:

“At this point, I can’t say for sure, but personally, I think it’s something we should definitely do. I think we have to do it.”

Wada’s opinion doesn’t officially greenlight the projects or spin up pre-production, but it is exciting to hear them confirm that it seems like something the team should tackle at some point in the future.

The recent Persona 6 teaser earlier this summer was so minimal that it left many fans of the franchise hoping to learn more soon about some kind of new content from Atlus and P-Studio.

If either game does get a remake, fans will likely have to wait at least a few years before something like that would be ready. Hopefully some of the work that was done on Persona 3: Reload and Persona 6 could give Persona 1 and Persona 2 a head start, but there would be a ton of new work needed to modernize the games in a similar way that Persona 3 was presented.

Although some gamers may be starting to feel remake and remaster fatigue with select franchises, it does seem like the earlier Persona games are old enough that they would benefit from remasters that could modernize the titles and help introduce them to younger audiences.

Be sure to check back soon for lots more news and updates on the Persona franchise.

Persona 6 is currently in the works, but has not shared a specific release date.

Donkey Kong Land Gets SNES-Style Remake

10 August 2026 at 15:21

More than three decades after its launch on the Game Boy, Donkey Kong Land is finally getting an upgraded 32-bit style remake thanks for a dedicated fan effort.

Unofficial Donkey Kong Land Remake Reveal

Donkey Kong Land originally released in 1995 for the Game Boy and the title is a fan-favorite from that era. It has some amazing levels and a lot of tricky difficulty spikes, which gives it a lot of replayability and has kept fans returning to it over the years. Despite its popularity, it never received any time of full remake or port to a console during the 1990s.

That has changed now thanks to a dedicated fan remaster effort. The unofficial Donkey Kong Country Remake from Kazquez aims to reimage what Donkey Kong Country would look, sound, and play like if it had been made for the SNES.

The finished product is very impressive and really does look and sound like new levels for Donkey Kong Country.

The remake was designed to be played on PC, but look and feel like an SNES era title. Gamers who want to give it a try will need to watch a video tutorial from the developer to understand how to get the project installed and up and running on their PC.

Donkey Kong Land Remake is a fanmade recreation for PC of the original Donkey Kong Land, but with looks, sound and controls in the style of DKC! Featuring 30+ full sized levels, tight controls and a lot of secrets to uncover, so Donkey and Diddy can get all their bananas back, again!”

The unofficial remake has become incredibly popular since its reveal and its trailer already has more than 87,000 views just two days after being published. With all that positive attention on the remake, it does seem possible that the project could end up on Nintendo’s radar.

As always with this type of fanmade project, fans should keep in mind that Nintendo could decide to shut the project down at any time. Gamers should try not to get too attached, just in case the project does disappear at some point in the future due to legal concerns.

Donkey Kong fans looking for the latest DK adventure can check out Donkey Kong Bananza on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Be sure to check back soon for lots more retro gaming news and updates.
